The trailer for this new suspense thriller from China has landed, and this could be Robert Knepper's best Chinese-made film so far, although that list isn't long!
An out of favour television host hopes to turn his career around by interviewing a woman (Zhen'er Wang) who has been incorrectly locked up in a mental institute by a sinister and twisted doctor called Victor (played by Prison Break's Robert Knepper). As the interview progresses, the unspeakable horrors of her time at the mental institution are uncovered.
This seems like a very brave type of thriller movie from Chinese filmmakers, hopefully the ending of the movie lives up to all the suspense that's built up in the trailer.
A heads up with this one: it has three different English names. The trailer references the movie as "The Trapped", while the IMDB listing calls in "Imprisonment" while the official Hong Kong name is Insane.
